Select product categories at the variation level

Very keen to be able to select product categories at the variation level. I have multiple variable products (Comics) that have the same variation (eg. Batman Variant Cover), I’d like to be able to put these into the Batman Variant Cover category at the variation level and have them display on the front end using the WooCommerce show single variations plugin. At present WooCommerce only allows category selection at the product level meaning every variation of each variable product is shown in the Batman Variant Cover category. I hope this is something you’re able to add to the plugin, it would be an epic addition to functionality! 🙂

This would be great, but we would need it to include tags as well.

That’s exactly what I need! Please add this!

The single variations plugin would be much more useful with this feature.

At the moment it only useful for products in the same type / category.

Has there been any consideration of adding it?

Essential for me to rank a category consisting of a product size that people are searching for a lot in Google.

Edit: It would be great if you can add this feature. This would help a lot if I want to rank a certain category in Google.

Yes, this may work for us as well – I think you’re asking for much the same thing I just did but worded it differently: I requested the ability to group similar variations under a master tag, or variation level tagging. I think we’re trying to get t the same place.
