Setting up time slots is optional. You don’t have to enable them to have WooCommerce Delivery Slots working on your store. However, if you’d like to allow customers to pick a specific time slot as well as a date for collection/delivery, you can do.

These time slots can be fully customized with additional fees, slot duration, maximum orders and more.

To find your time slot settings, take the following steps:

  1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Delivery Slots and click the Time Settings tab.

Time slots allow you to have full control of your delivery/collection schedule so we recommend following our various User Guides to help you get started:

WooCommerce Delivery Slots doesn’t only allow you to customize your delivery schedule, it also allows you to offer collection/local pickup too.

How to offer time slots based on the postcode/zipcode/shipping zone

Your store’s delivery or collection schedule might need to be adapted to suit your needs. For example, if you have hyper-local customers, and some that are further away, you might want to set separate time slots to accommodate them.

Either that or, you might want to offer time slots to customers who live within a certain shipping zone.

With WooCommerce Delivery Slots, you can use the shipping zones within WooCommerce (which include postcodes, zipcodes and regions), coupled with your time slots to create an entirely customised delivery or collection schedule.

How to manage upcoming deliveries

Upcoming deliveries

Now that you’ve customized WooCommerce Delivery Slots to suit your store’s delivery capacity and needs, you’ll start to see orders coming in.

Managing these orders can be done in a few ways, depending on your preference and the type of orders you’re taking.

We recommend managing your Delivery Slots orders using the Deliveries page. This page will allow you to see all upcoming deliveries, order contents, customer names, order status, and more.

To find the Deliveries page, in your WordPress dashboard go to WooCommerce > Deliveries (under Delivery Slots).

We’ve put together an in-depth guide to help you navigate this section of your store. View that here: How to manage upcoming deliveries
