Updates to WooCommerce Delivery Slots
We just released version 1.16.1 of WooCommerce Delivery Slots, and with it comes a group of fantastic updates:
Reservation calendar revamp
The reservation calendar has always been one of our favorite features of Delivery Slots. But even fantastic features can be improved. So this month, we’ve given the reservation calendar an upgrade.
Instead of a slightly more bulky table, the reservation calendar has transformed into a sleek and easy-to-use widget.
Customers will be able to input their address, shipping method and then select their collection/delivery date and time.
You’ll also be able to customize this table to suit your store. Full details on how to do this can be found in our reservation table documentation. See it in action in the WooCommerce Delivery Slots demo.
Override lead time and available days for a product or category
Previously with WooCommerce Delivery Slots, lead time and available days were set store-wide. With this month’s update, you’ll be able to set both lead time and your available days on a per-product and category basis.
This means you can set certain products or categories to only be available on certain days of the week should you need to. You’ll also be able to get more specific with your lead times.
For full details on how to set all this up, read our override lead time and available days documentation.
Auto-select first available date and timeslot
We’ve added a new setting this month which allows you to determine if you want the first available date to be automatically selected at the checkout.
To find this setting, from your WordPress dashboard go to WooCommerce > Delivery Slots and click the Date Settings tab/link at the top of the page. Scroll down in the Date Setup section and click the checkbox next to Auto-select first available date?.
Tooltip for the date picker to indicate additional fees
Previously when customers were to select a delivery/collection date at the checkout, they’d only be able to see any additional fees after they’d picked their date. This can be frustrating for customers who may be looking for a suitable date without fees.
To solve this issue, when customers now hover over dates in the date selector at checkout, tooltips will appear showcasing any additional fees.
New REST API endpoints
If you’re a developer or using a third party for, say, your logistics, we’ve now updated our REST API endpoints to make them easier to manage and use.
Take a look at our detailed Delivery Slots REST API documentation for more details.
Of course, that’s not all. We’ve made a number of other fixes and updates. You can read all of these in the WooCommerce Delivery Slots Changelog.

Updates to WooThumbs for WooCommerce
We just released version 4.11.0 of WooThumbs for WooCommerce, and with it comes a key update:
Duplicated images will no longer be included in the gallery
Before this update, if you had an image that was in the parent product gallery or set a featured image and that image existed again for one of the variations – you’d have multiple of the same image in your product gallery.
With this update, your gallery will not show duplicated images. This way you can be sure your gallery doesn’t confuse customers.
This is particularly useful for those of you that use the parent product’s image gallery for variations.
Of course, that’s not all. We’ve made a number of other fixes and updates. You can read all of these in the WooThumbs for WooCommerce Changelog.
