Allow the selection of variation images easily

I would like to use an image swatch but that then uses the variation image, rather than needing to select the image again on either a product by product basis of global basis

Hi reholmes27, just to clarify, do you mean that you would like a swatch to appear for each unique variation by pulling in the variation image? So instead of selecting an image for each attribute value the variation has, there is just one image swatch for the whole variation?

In my case I only have one attribute so I would like to use the variation image instead of having to upload an image for each option. This plugin does it as an example – https://villatheme.com/extensions/woocommerce-product-variations-swatches/
What they do is offer the option to use a variation image for any attribute, so I could use it for a colour attribute or a size attribute etc, it’s a selection option per attribute.
